Nashville's Tomato Art Festival
Are you ready for the Nashville festival of the summer? Nashville’s 18th Annual Tomato Festival will be on August 13th and 14th this year! This festival is all about promoting unity and friendship. Whether you believe a tomato is a fruit or a vegetable, everyone is welcome. While you are at the festival make sure to take a look at the tomato art show! This event will highlight all sorts of art from paintings to sculptures. The only requirement is that the artwork must be inspired by a fruit or vegetable. So, if you enjoy art, make sure to schedule this event as part of your vacation.
The Tomato Festival also offers several contests and events to keep everything interesting. If you love ice cream, don’t miss out on the Ice Cream Naming Contest. There is also the Biggest, Littlest, and Ugliest Tomato Contest, the Recipe Contest, and the Tomato Costume Contest. In order to add some suspense, there is also the Children’s Art Show Contest, the Tomato Art Fest Cornhole Tournament, and the Beautiful Tomato Contest. There will also be live entertainment available on both days of the festival!
The final event for the Tomato Festival is the parade. Everyone will be in costume and celebrating unity as they march from the corner of S 12th and Russell to the Ends in 5 Point.
